Plasters can be divided into three categories:

Washproof plasters are water-resistant, as they can withstand humidity and wet conditions. This type of plaster is useful for covering hand wounds. Its properties repel water and dirt, allowing you to wash your hands, bathe or swim without worrying about the plaster slipping off.

Fabric plasters are more durable and breathable. They have good adhesive strength, so they can be used for long periods of time. They are usually brown in colour and are suitable for small cuts on fingertips and knuckles. However, although they are flexible, they are not resistant to moisture. They are not effective at keeping the wound dry.
Our Fabric Plasters come in boxes of 100 and have excellent strength with traditional adhesive. This product offers heavyweight elastic fabric plasters for ultimate protection.
Blue plasters are ideal for staff working in food and catering environments. This type of plaster is also waterproof, metal detectable, and resistant to prevent cross-contamination between blood and foodstuffs. They comply with UK food hygiene regulations as they are visually detectable. Blue plasters are highly visible and can be detected if dropped in food handling and preparation areas. They are also electromagnetically detectable due to a thin metal strip inside the plaster. This metal strip allows food to be scanned with the aid of metal detectors.
