Keeping the skin in good condition at work is vital to avoid skin problems later in life. Excessive sun exposure can lead to a variety of health problems including sunburn, premature ageing, skin cancer and other skin conditions. That's why at Tiger Supplies we offer a wide range of Suncreams to minimise the risk of sun-related health problems.

The first step to better skin care is to protect your skin from the elements that can cause skin irritation, including ultraviolet (UVA and UVB) rays. Our high-quality suncreams are an essential part of any skincare routine and will help you achieve this as long as you apply them before you go outside.

Our range of suncreams has the following characteristics:

  • SPF 30 or SPF 50.

SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. It is a measure of how well a sunscreen will protect the skin from the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The higher the SPF, the more protection the sunscreen provides. For instance, our SPF 50 Suncreams will provide 50 times the skin's normal protection against UVB rays.

It is important to select a sunscreen with an appropriate SPF for your skin type, as this will help to ensure that you are adequately protected from the sun’s harmful rays.

  • A water-resistant formula, which makes them ideal for outdoor workers. Our suncreams withstand perspiration and immersion in water.
  • No added perfume, which minimises the risk of allergic reactions or skin irritations, making them suitable for people sensitive to fragrances or with sensitive skin.

We recommend the Deb Stokoderm Sun Protect 50 PURE, which conforms to the European recommendation for providing UVA protection and UVB protection. It also provides additional protection against UVC rays that are created artificially during industrial processes, such as arc welding. But in such cases, you should also wear personal protective equipment.

Another great option is the Deb Stokoderm Sun Protect 30 PURE which comes in a box of 12. This is an economical solution that will allow you to get the most out of the product. It will absorb quickly and easily into the skin to encourage regular use and not affect dexterity with hand tools.

Additional recommendations

Sunscreen should be applied generously and evenly to all exposed skin 15 to 30 minutes before working outdoors. Be sure to cover all areas of skin that will be exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, ears, arms and legs. Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours or after swimming or heavy sweating. Make sure to use enough sunscreen to cover all exposed skin and use sunscreen with an SPF appropriate for your skin type.

In addition, sunscreen should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Check the expiry dates regularly and replace the product if necessary.
